The Level 67,000 Player and the Bacon-Hair

I am Prophet_220, a bacon-hair boy. I went into this random 2012 filtering-enabled game The Lost Souls RPG by darkness99999. When I came in, I killed two level 1 bandits, which gave me 10 XP and 20 gold in total, but I did not level up.

I looked around and saw this user in a wooden cottage, and he was Samuel9yr, the only player online in the game right now, besides me. He was level 67,474.

I left and then noticed a leaderboard. Samuel9yr was rank 2 in the whole game. Rank 1 was mathmaster102 at level 102,000, and the last rank in the list, rank 15, was ArizTrad. He was only level 20,574.

I continued attacking, eventually reaching 45 XP and 40 gold. Then level 2, 30 XP, 110 gold. After I reached level 3 and 335 gold, I saw Samuel9yr staring at the leaderboard.

He went back into the cottage, resuming his dancing over a circular button with floating text that read "1M gold for 250000 XP". I resumed fighting. I slayed level 2 goblins and level 5 "Goblin Warlords" who had 50 HP. I lured them to the healing fountain and stood on it as I attacked them.

While walking, I realized there was no music or ambient sounds. Even Samuel9yr dancing over the button that alternated between red and black repeatedly made no sound. It was only the sound of my sword slashing and sheathing and my footsteps. The sheathing sound was very loud.

Soon, I reached level 8 with 365 XP and 5,635 gold. This only took around 30 minutes.

Later, I finally got full gray armor at level 18, and I had 12,870 gold. I then went to the next stage beyond a large brown door. It was called "Forest". I fought a level 10 orc with 33 HP. I returned to the first stage to get the gold at the corner of the map. Samuel9yr moved from 67,474 to 67,512. And his gold was now 24.5 billion. He had stepped on the button so many times.

I saw him in "Forest" after I went there again. I killed the knight enemy attacking him. It had been dealing practically zero damage to him. He had just been standing still. I slashed at him once. He turned around and went back to the first stage.

He was already standing still on a small shrub by this point. After I got full blue armor and reached level 30, I went to him and stopped his dancing. After he asked what and we stared at each other for a while, I said "Nothing" and returned to the field. I checked on him every once in a while. He was still dancing. Sometimes, he would just be standing still over the button, not even pressing it. But he would eventually resume dancing again.

I went from level 1 to 50 after around 50 minutes in total. I ultimately quit by level 100, reaching 75 minutes playtime. But I went back 10 minutes later. After I sheathed my sword, he left the cottage, standing behind me. I turned around.

I walked past him and resumed attacking enemies. When I became level 107, another player, RipCynn63, joined. He was level 415. After a moment, Samuel9yr walked out and stood in the center. RipCynn63 had gone to the third stage after Forest—"Desert". He was attacking a level 30 sand monster. He quit abruptly. Samuel9yr went to the Desert before teleporting back to the center. After standing still for a moment, he returned to the cottage of buttons.

I reached level 127 with 48,445 gold, wearing full black armor. I continued to sell the extra weapons I got from enemies at the pawn shop and used my spare gold on the XP button. I had also finally reached the fourth stage—"Graveyard".

In the end, after dying to a level 55 zombie, I quit at level 137. 110 minutes had passed since I first joined. Moments before I left, Samuel9yr was standing in the center, wearing full black spiky armor.

30 Minutes Later...

Around 30 minutes after Prophet_220 left, I, Towers_Tower, joined. I am level 450.

After some time, the player Lil_YungDing entered. He had the display name "ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー".

The two were staring at the leaderboard together. I saw ArizTrad at the bottom of it. He was level 20,574. After a pause, Samuel9yr said, "🤏".

No one answered. After 5 minutes, Em Dashes reached level 19,000, having exchanged places with Samuel9yr at the XP button.

Three more players soon joined: Snowboy99003 ("Gav") at level 54, rainguy123456789 ("MintChoc") at level 1, Secret_guys ("avx") at level 117. The sounds of swords sheating were simultaneous.
